India Simpson
India Simpson is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of marketing and leadership experience in both professional services and consumer packaged goods industries.
Ms. Simpson led Marketing Strategic Programming and Events at Heidrick & Struggles International where she orchestrated large-scale, global, consultant conferences, client events and CEO roundtables. In addition, she helped drive the firm’s strategic sponsorships to include World Economic Forum and Fortune Most Powerful Women. Prior to joining Marketing, Ms. Simpson served in the c-suite as Chief of Staff to four consecutive CEOs leading special projects, Executive Committee meetings and liaising with Board of Directors.Prior to her transition to professional services, Ms. Simpson was a key member of the Marketing team at Terlato Wine Group (TWG), a family-owned company that markets and distributes a global portfolio of luxury wines, including those from the Terlato vineyards. In her role as Brand Group Marketing Manager, Ms. Simpson led a portfolio of Napa-based wines including the family’s flagship brands, Chimney Rock and Rutherford Hills.
Before stepping into the private sector with TWG, Ms. Simpson held several significant marketing and business development roles at Sara Lee Corporation (SLC) at a time when the company was considered a consumer conglomerate with diverse brands to include: Sara Lee Foods, Sara Lee Apparel, Hanes Hosiery, L’Eggs Hosiery, Coach Leatherware, Bali Company, Playtex Apparel, Champion, and Aris Isotoner. She began as a Marketing Intern at Hanes Hosiery and quickly progressed to Marketing Manager, followed by Director of Business Development of Sara Lee Hosiery, and then onto Director of Business Development for Sara Lee Personal Products North and South America. Her experience at the firm spanned marketing, human resources, finance and M&A.
Ms. Simpson holds a B.S. from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of  Commerce, as well as an M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
